With a renovated website, I owned Maybelline’s first AR tech project launch in Portugal.
As a brand, we started with Virtual Try-On, a website feature where users could virtually try on the brand's products. Later, the brand launched “Foundation Finder” to help users find their foundation and concealer tone using the live camera.
These apps use the Modiface technology.
My role as the Digital Manager
Website Localization to feature the Virtual Try On (VTO) and Foundation Finder;
Sitecore team's main contact to ensure everything was well implemented;
Translations from English to Portuguese to complete the localization of the app;
App programming with all the products and their features at the Modiface interface;
Digital media strategy and activation to promote the new features - social media paid posts on Facebook and Instagram and Influencer Marketing activations to boost the app users.
When promoting the VTO app, I realised Facebook blocks the live camera feature on promoted posts, so I turned the campaign into an influencer campaign - the outcome from this action brought an increase in the app users numbers. This learning also helped other brands from the company when promoting their VTO apps.
